Blessing Day

We had Natasha blessed on Sunday. It was really nice...I am sure. I really didn't get to hear much of it. Jon had a digital recorder we borrowed and was planning on recording it. I was sitting in a row with my mother, Lilly, Brig and Samantha. Samantha during the whole blessing was trying to stand on my legs to see daddy. Then I was trying to nicely tell her no by not trying to upset her because I wanted to hear the blessing and not Sam crying. So, during the whole blessing I was wrestling around with the kids. I thought o'well Jon has it recorded so I can listen to it later. Well, Jon came back and it wasn't recorded. I was bummed. I later had to ask Jon what he said.
After church we went to Jon's mothers house and had a nice dinner. All in all it went really well. Natasha did great and didn't cry at all during the blessing. It was a great day!

Here are the pictures I tried to take before church.

She was nice and content before I put on the dress. Here she is just in her slip.

...after the dress is on.

Attempt to get a picture with all the kids.
Lilly and Brigham trying to comfort Natasha. Now she is ready to go.
Most everybody that reads my posts are LDS but if you are not and are wondering what is a blessing. I copied my friends explanation and am putting it here for those that are interested.

What is a LDS (Mormon) Baby Blessing? For those of you not familiar with a Baby Blessing in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I will explain. The precedent for blessing children was set forth by the Savior, Jesus Christ, in Palestine: see Mark 10:16 and the new world, see the Book of Mormon 3 Nephi 17:21. The blessing of a child is not an infant baptism. It's a special blessing that first gives a name to the child to be recorded in the records of the church and then pronounces special blessings and promises for the child as revealed through revelation. The blessing is given by a man who holds the Melchizedek Priesthood. (Thanks Stormy and Brady family)

Your family photos are sooooo cute! You were so on top of things to get those done so quickly! I'm sad we missed Natasha's blessing on Sunday. We were out of town attending Brent's brother's new baby blessing. I'm sure it was beautiful.

Sorry we couldn't make it. We are lucky if we can keep Kimmie awake through church & she is usually out right when we get home. I heard it was wonderful!
